**OOOPS!! I was wondering why no-one was commenting. That would be because it was still a draft...
Where to start? What to do? and When?
I have fabric up the wazoo and yarn coming out of my ears. I have in-progress projects and planned projects and projects to fix. I have quilting, spinning, knitting and sewing plans - just to go for the really broad categories of my hobbies. I have two spinning wheels, one of which has sat unused for 18 months, and at least five spindles, one of which has never been used and the other has only been 'tried out'. I have so much raw material that I forget exactly what I have, or where. Some days I feel I can't turn around for inspiring ideas, and other days, it all feels like one long, heavy to-do list, especially when you consider that some of my hobbies create raw material for the others.
I'm also much less fit than I'd like, and exactly as heavy as I was on this day last year.
I have two gorgeous dogs whom I love dearly, but who I always feel could use a little bit more of my time, or just a bit more quality exercise, and I have a rather wonderful other half, and the same concerns pretty much apply to him, too.
I've lived in a real, actual house with a real, actual garden that we really, actually own for three years now, and aside from painting, and building a deck which we never use, we've done precious little of the things we set out to do to it, in all honesty.
And wouldn't it be nice to do something new once in a while? Hmm.
Clearly, I can't set measurable, quantifiable goals for all this lot, or it really *would* turn into a giant, chore-ridden to-do list. Maybe a few general statements for the year would be a good thing:
- Knit daily
- Blog three times per week (156 posts in a year - maybe I should number them, a la Norma?)
- Spin weekly
- Learn 1 weaving technique per month
- Sew more. Some. At all.
- Detash some
- Practise recorders
- Grow food for J and I (the dogs will eat pretty much anything out of the garden; that's not a challenge).
- Increase my flexibility, strength and cardio fitness
- Decrease my weight, hopefully to pre-shingles levels
- Learn to sing
- Spend more quality time with J and the hounds
- Follow my inspiration
- Allow time to breathe.
- And more!
I reckon that should be enough to be getting on with, don't you? I'll probably go for a monthly project list, too, I think; knitting-wise, I've just cleared out my Ravelry queue and reorganised, so I know what my next year currently looks like - though, of course, it is all subject to change.
? Come to Cardiff?....maybe? - then we can play the recorders together again! Now that would be lovely.x

Still, you're going to be busy, though it's lots of small plans that are pretty flexible. Happy new year!

Hmm I joined the do 101 things in 1001 days, some of which is getting the house sorted, some of which is getting me sorted and some of which is FUN! One fun item is to learn how to play the recorder so I could be joining you on this one!

That's a pretty good list. Fun stuff mixed with "need to" stuff. And not too much of the deadline/inflexible schedule about it... I may look at my year with something like this list in mind.
